In this explorative clay workshop with ceramic artist and facilitator Molly Piper Greaves, you will be guided through an embodied witch creative expedition. During the session, you will be invited to envision a utopia where witches run wild and free. We will work with the clay, the earth, to create sculptural artefacts from this imagined mythological realm.
This special edition of Clay Coven will take place as we enter the sacred season of Samhain, an ancient Celtic fire festival to welcome winter and the darker half of the year. Many people believe the veil between the physical and supernatural world grows thin at this time, an invitation for stillness and being in commune with one another. This season calls us to gather by candlelight, to experience the magic together. We will honour witches of the past by bringing their stories into the present. What will your inner witch bring forth into the world?
All materials included, as well as decorative slips. Your piece will be fired, resulting in you taking home an intuitively made, completely unique, fired sculptural ceramic. Learn clay skills in a warm and nurturing environment, open to all levels, witches encouraged ♡
Wednesday Makers Sessions @ Firing Station Studio

We are running blocks of Wednesday Making Sessions. The idea is we will bring a teaching topic each week as a prompt (if you need it!) or you can make your own project and bag the skill we teach.
The sessions will be held at our studio in Park Hall Business Centre (SE21 8EN). We will be here to support you through each session, making your ideas come to life. These sessions are for all range of ability levels and a good opportunity to pick our brains, allowing for both learning and self directed making depending on how much experinece you have.
Dates are released in blocks, you are able to book individual weeks or you can book the full block for a discounted price!
We will also be running a group alongside on the same day with more of a structure to it, if you are struggling for ideas or need a making refresher you are welcome to dot in and out of these.

Week 2 - Slumping (Plate, Platter or Bowl)
Week 3 - Coiling (Mug or Caddy)
Week 4 - Decorating and wax resist (Learn to Use Wax and Underglaze to Mask and Paint Your Piece)
Week 5 - Glazing Week (Dip and Brush-on Glaze Layering Techniques)
Nerd Club Intro to Ceramics @ Firing Station Studio

This Novemner our Nerd Club is back, the perfect way to learn the basics of hand-builidng ceramics.
We’ve made some tweaks to the original course to utilise making time and to give you more in order find our preferred technique. Each week will be deadicate dto one making style or decorating technique. You will come away with at least three finish pieces from the full five weeks.
